Learn The Korean Table Manner and The History at Myeongga Myeonok Kelapa Gading

Hola! Me finally back again for a (probably) long post. On December 9th 2014, I got invited to a media gathering as part of KoreanUpdates. Thanks Mr. Park Jae Hwan for inviting us to this superb restaurant.

Myeongga Myeonok (명가면옥) means "A famous place for a family to gather and enjoy the food". Mr. Park introduce us to Korean table manner which I never knew before. It's interesting to know and now my love for Korean culture is getting even deeper. Here's some points that I could summarize from what Mr. Park shared about Koeran table manner:
  1. Use spoon for rice and soup
  2. While eating the rice, do not lift the bowl up. The bowl must placed on the table.
  3. Do not hold spoon and chopstick at the same time in the same hand because it could make noise which is prohibited.
  4. Use your chopstick to get the side dishes (while sharing).
  5. Wrap the bones or scraps with a napkin.
  6. Do not stretch your arm too far while getting your food.
  7. When you finish, put the spoon and chopstick to the spot where they're placed before. If you use napkins, fold it again.
  8. In case you're sneezing/coughing, turn you head to one side and do it.
